Inspired by the Illustration Friday word: "carry"
After drawing and discarding for days, it dawned on me that having an idea is one thing, and having the energy, persistence and effort required to carry it out is quite another thing.

Oh so true - caryy it to fruition is definitely the head part. Great action illo and beautifully drawn.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how the chore of carrying the pig is not ameliorated by the ease of the downhill descent.
ReplyDeleteI like the pig drawing a lot.
.
Oh, well illustrated! That feeling when one is 'over the hump' in terms of having the idea and the goal - but still has that heavy weight on one's shoulders, that obstructs the doing and just won't shift... (and the idea just sits there, not helping, almost taunting...exactly the way you've drawn that pig) Nicely done. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the comments, folks! Reading them gives me new ideas - for drawing, and draws me in to the viewer's mind. Much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteLove the painting and your explanation. Sometimes I get an idea and I love it but the task of bringing it to life seems daunting.
DeleteI just found your blog. You are an incredible artist!
Thanks for visiting, DH. Sometimes ideas just flow from the pen, happen practically on their own. Other times, it's a struggle - or doesn't get completed at all. Can't imagine not creating, it's that simple.
DeleteI must say your shared drawing are so creative one...just looking to it...It seems telling much more to us..really very interesting drawing...hope to see like these more from you..thanks
