Inspired by the Illustration Friday word : "liquid"
I spent some time looking at quotes and drawing as many liquid things as I could bring to mind. And then when I stopped thinking about it this relaxed feline just appeared.
I like the blue of the cat with the blue of the girl's glasses. As a complete dog person, I don't think I'll ever have a liquid cat on my lap, but I've seen them on other people. Cute idea :)
I seem to draw dogs more often than cats, Linda. (just not for I.F. ??) Their joyful clunkiness is such an exhuberant expression of enthusiasm and affection. I had a huge lab/rottweiler mix who died six years ago. Still miss his way of being family. And the blue cats eye glasses seem to pop up every now and again - my best friend wore them as a kid, and I still remember the pair my sister was supposed to wear which she 'lost' on the top shelf in the bathroom, tucked away behind things which we seldom used.
ha ha, this is very nice interpretation of LIQUID! Nice interplay with text and drawing. And importantly,they both look very happy!!
